Kathyrn Dennis came back this season looking more lavish than ever. The mother of two upgraded her pad to a $6,600 a month apartment and a Rolls Royce — something that put her friends on high alert.
The Charleston spot was 5 stories tall and according to Kathryn, nothing ever made it to the top floor! The Southern Charm has moved to a more sensible place.
She is currently living in her grandfather’s house that’s completely paid off. She spoke to Home and Design about her recent change in scenery.
‘I rented for 6 months. F–k living in a house that’s five stories. I’m back at my grandfather’s. It’s paid off, so I’m trying to save up to build my first home. I’m building it with my business partner [Donna Steele] and her husband.’
As for what she is looking for in a new place to call home, location is everything.
‘I gotta stay close to Charleston, but I don’t want to be in the thick of all that crap, you know? I want a normal life. I had a normal upbringing and I think that was crucial.’
This comes after Dennis worried her friends Danni Baird and Naomi Olindo with her excessive spending habit and flakiness. They were afraid that while she was dating a Florida politician, she was turning into ‘old Kathryn’ again.
Her friend’s opinion is what prompted her to break up with the former senator in the first place.
‘We just met whenever my friends had met him; I didn’t know him well enough to pick up on patterns to then make a decision whether or not to move forward. Whenever I noticed Danni [Baird] being upset with me because she didn’t agree with the way he talked to me or things he did, that’s when I started to think, hm, if my friends are turning on me, I do not need this man in my life. Girls are more important than any kind of dude.’

It’s great to see that Kathyrn plans to make a more practical move that’s best for herself and her children.
